In the video for Life on Mars,

Bowie wore a blue suit, but I thought a fluorescent pink one would definitely look good on him, so I decided to draw it in my favorite fluorescent pink.

I knew it would look good on him.

I kept it at home for a long time without using it. I'm sorry Mr. D. 
Finally i'm using it after 3 years.
They are all time my favorite pens.

Fluorescent pink and black shade, I like it.

Actually he wore a black suit and black socks.
But hey, I liked the pink suit I drew last time, so I did this time in fluorescent pink again.
I also drew his socks red.

Today I drew Bowie for the first time.

He actually wore a blue suit, but I thought a pink suit would look good on him, so I drew it with a fluorescent pink.
On a side note, Mr. D, who lives in New York, told me that most artists in New Jersey paint Bowie. Oh boy (bowie).

I drew an old man I saw on the up escalator in Piccadilly Circus station who was wearing a stylish Nike hat.
He was wearing head-to-toe black with the Nike logo on his hat.
It was so cool!

A rough sketch
 
When I draw, I don't make any rough sketchs.
There's a reason for that.
Personally,
I feel that drawing with one shot is a better way to discover new things and get a better flavor.

Shadows!
 
Shadows are important, aren't they?
Without them, it would just look flat, as you know.
I wasn't sure whether to use black for the shadows, but I thought that black would be too strong, so I decided to use blue.
Chan-chan. LOL!

This is the fourth piece of work I've done today.
This time, I used not only a Stabilo pen but also colored pencils to draw.
He is wearing different colored shoes on each side.
In fact, if you look closely, you can see that the socks are different colors, too.

Congratulations to David Hockney.

In this picture, it supposed to be a light pink suit, but I changed it to a fluorescent pink suit. What do you think?

This is my second work of the day.
I've been wanting to draw it for a long time, and finally I was able to do it!
I love it.
The face of the dachshund that David Hockney is holding in his right arm looks like a human face, doesn't it?

I just noticed that most of the Hockney's photo, he holds a ciggaret in his left hand.

1st drawing

This was the first drawing after I returned to Japan from England.
I drew one of my favorite artists, David Hockney.
It was from this drawing that I came up with the idea to "add a fluorescent color."
I really liked it so much so since then almost all of my subsequent drawings have been drew with fluorescent colors. ( ﾟДﾟ)
